Thinking of running a B&B?
Why not take a course to find out if B&B is really for you and your partner
not forgetting your family of course. The ‘Thinking of running a B&B course’ is designed to give you an outline of what the tourism industry is looking for along with what your guests expect from B&B in a climate of ever increasing expectations of the illusive ‘positive’ holiday experience. This particular tourism product is based in an ever growing and competitive market place. With tourism taking over in many rural areas it makes sense to take a good hard look at the prospects. This may be a diversification venture or maybe a change of life style even a retirement venture, the reasons for going into this home based type of business are many and varied but it would be foolhardy to take any steps without taking a good hard look at the industry and what the customer may be looking for not to mention what you expect to get out of the venture yourself. There will often be a financial investment to make in your new business adventure, this investment may be monies from a retirement or a redundancy package, investing your life savings can be a risky business, doing your homework first makes good sound sense, we can help you with this process. Our course package is broken down into several modules taken over a three day period, the course looks at the practical side of the business along with the rewards the business yields. Taking a sensible and practical course will give you the opportunity to expand your thoughts on the project, meet other people who are looking at the possibilities the industry holds for them, it gives you the opportunity to talk to others and discuss any worries you may have, opening doors on a whole host of possibilities. The course is designed to set out a framework for your research procedure, looking at the new statutory legislation coming into being in the near future, taking note of industry requirements before you even look at your marketing. Marketing is an obvious but sometimes scary part of your plans. We will help you to define a marketing plan personal to you, helping you to discover your customer and their requirements. It often takes a few years to identify the customer that is right for you. We will give you practical advice on styling and designing your bedroom layouts along with practical look at how your home will accommodate daily guests. Once you have completed our questionnaire and returned it to us here we will tailor the course to suit the groups needs, this information is important to us, allowing us to gauge your particular requirements on the course. You will arrive at Capel Dewi Uchaf Country House at 4p.m. where the course starts with afternoon tea. We will be working to a very tight and racy schedule giving you practical advice, food for thought and practical workshops, hearing from speakers in the industry.
